Not sure which to choose?

We'd generally recommend starting off with XHTML 1.0 Strict, unless:

• Your existing project uses another document type
• There are deprecated features in other document types that you simply cannot do without
• You are designing for an intranet with a really old browser

It'll make it far easier in the long-run - trust me.
